Therapies that will work for you
Therapeutic / Remedial Therapies
Trigger Point Therapy
Ideal for people who have chronic, acute pain, and tight muscles. Referred pain frequently radiates out from the point of local tenderness to broader areas. To alleviate pain, direct pressure is applied onto the trigger points. This will break the cycle of pain which has built up and kept a muscle area contracted. Relaxed muscle fibres are then able to be lengthened with facilitated stretches.
Relaxation Massage
This is a gentle massage that helps to release muscle knots and recharges body & mind. It uses techniques such as kneading, long flowing strokes in the direction of the heart, circular motions, vibration, tapping, and passive joint movement. This type of massage can be both relaxing and energising and is helpful for people who hold tension in their lower back, shoulders, and neck.
Neromuscular Techniques
An optimal therapy to treat injuries, chronic pain, or a specific issue or condition of the body. Gentle but effective techniques are used to release spasms, restore postural alignment, proper biomechanics. and flexibility to the tissues. Also used to strengthen weak muscles, stretch tight muscles and fascia, mobilise restricted joint movement, and to improve circulation.
Joint Mobilisation
Articular joint mobilisation therapy is designed to relieve pain and muscle spasms, release tension and improve flexibility in a joint. It stretches and strengthens the tissue surrounding the joint, which helps reduce pain and increases range of motion. Techniques increase the lubricating fluids, allowing your joints to move with more ease and less stress.
Deep Tissue Massage
For those who suffer from chronic pain, muscle tension and restricted mobility. Slow strokes and deep finger pressure are used to relieve tension from the deepest layers of your muscles and connective tissues. Techniques alleviate the pain and corrects injury, by working out the adhesions that cause tissue to be stiff and rigid, aiding the body’s natural healing process.
Myofascial Release
Normal myofascia should feel pliable and elastic and be pain free. Gentle massage techniques target the stiff or tightened areas of myofascia by stretching the areas that feel rigid with light manual pressure. By breaking down the adhesions between the tissues, muscle fibres are softened and re-aligned. This allows easier and more effective movement and improves posture flexibility.
